Twin Flame is a unique collection that emphasises on connecting nature’s soul with humans. Presented at JD Design Awards 2022, the designer minds behind the collection are Kajal Jain, Samaira Singh, and Deepika Singh who are pursuing their PG Diploma from JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore.
The collection Twin Flame is inspired by intense soul connection with someone and through this collection the designers are showing the relationship of humans with nature. Although humans are part of nature, the relationship between humans and nature is not well understood, neither in sustainable marketing nor in relationship marketing. The designers of Twin Flame want to save the benevolent nature as it gives us so many things. Hence they took the approach of zero automation. Their idea was not to harm nature in any of the stages of curating a collection. In order to end everything in a natural way they did not use zip in their collection or any chemical colour in their collection. The entire collection is handmade and even the fabrics are not machine made. They used hand-woven fabric and went vocal for local.
Moreover, the designers approached the local weaver community to get their fabric done and approached the women who are unemployed for embroidery. Their design also included hand block printing, for which they designed all their blocks and got it done from local artists.
Going ahead, the designers are also looking forward to starting their own brand, Dhikasa, which they will start through a website and also leverage the social media platforms to promote their business.
All the garments in the collection fall into the ready to wear collection. The garments are made to last with eco-friendly materials. They are promoting the ethical ways in garment construction to minimise environmental and social impacts which will give rise to conscious fashion for all the woke women. Their designs are exquisite and sophisticated as well as practical and wearable which breathes to provide chic and effortless style to the wearer.
