When I joined the JD Institute for my Postgraduate Diploma in Fashion Design, I had no idea how much it would transform me. I came in with curiosity and walked out with courage, creativity, and clarity.

The biggest challenge? Creating a completely new fabric in just three months for my JD Design Awards project. It felt impossible at first — overwhelming, scary even. But my mentors at JD never let me give up. They shared their knowledge, believed in my wildest ideas, and constantly reminded me that pushing boundaries is what design is all about.

There were sleepless nights, failed experiments, and moments of self-doubt — but also breakthroughs. Every challenge became an opportunity to grow, and every setback was a lesson in resilience.

More than just technical knowledge, JD taught me how to own my voice as a designer. I learned how to back up my concepts with research, articulate my creative choices, and stay grounded in my values. It wasn’t just about fashion — it was about finding myself.

Today, I carry everything I created at JD — not just in my portfolio, but in my mindset. The JD Design Awards pushed me to think bigger, bolder, and beyond trends.
