And this, has been proven before and proven again as our Jediiian Ms. Akshayaa A who secured the first rank in BSc. in Fashion and Apparel Design at the Bengaluru City University. This has brought immense pride to the institute and her batch.
Achievements that have been conquered during the course of one’s education are widely noticed during his/her professional life as it portrays the dedication that they have towards their field of work. Ms. Akshayaa has always been actively a part of the academic as well as the extra curricular activities that were held within the premises as well as outside. She has never backed away from any opportunities that were offered.
The Bsc. in Fashion and Apparel Design course comprises the four core subjects – Illustration, Textiles, Garment Construction and Draping – that trains and helps aspiring designers to acquire and use these skills to enhance and bring to life their ideations in form of 3D designs. Ms. Akshayaa did not only top her final year, but has been a constantly top rank holder in her batch. Her dedication towards her work and passion to bring change through her designs.
It was during the pandemic lockdowns, that Ms. Akshayaa was able to explore and up-skill herself with the help of her mentors. in her testimonial, Ms. Akshayaa shared how overwhelmed she was by her achievement and none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for her parents and our institute – JD Institute Of Fashion Technology.
She said, ‘I would like to convey a big thank you to JD Institute of Fashion technology and the team of JD, the Principal, the HoD and my teachers who made my dream come true. They have guided and nurtured me throughout my journey.The Institute has provided me with good exposure and opportunities to meet various people, attend workshops conducted by industry experts and industry visits which I think is very essential to improve your knowledge on the field. Be it assignments or projects, the mentors of JD Institute are always there beside you, not only to help you understand your topics better, but also to encourage you and mold you for your improvement.
Apart from academics, there are even cultural events and celebrations where the students and mentors get to interact and compete with each other. Lastly, I thank my friends for having created a comfortable environment, having made funny memories and to have been a major support system in my learning and experience in this college.’
Pride swept the institute on hearing her words that has been above all, the greatest reward to our Institute.
