JD Annual Design Awards 2016 – Untold Stories : “AMALGAMATION”
MBA graduate Chaitra Vinay’s interest in art and craft stems from her artist-photographer husband. Chaitra, now experiments with cocoons to create accessories and home décor products. Her eco-friendly art is the inspiration for the collection “AMALGAMATION” designed for the women in Vancouver. In order to amalgamate natural and artificial elements, the range uses organza a manmade fabric inspired from the art that uses source of silk – cocoon as a medium. Bunglow beige, Tricorn Black and Whites are used to highlight the embellishments and give it a bold and classy look. The collection is presented by Ganesh, Bhavya, Sapna and Mounitha from July diploma 2015 Batch.
