Visual Lies is an award winning collection at JD Design Awards 2022. The collection highlights the harmful nature of human activity in contrast to the benevolence of nature.

The designers behind the collection are Srishiti Shree Krishna, Sonia Jain, and Koina Nath. According to the designers, “Oil spills are something that we give to nature and harm it. While the ever-giving Earth bestows us with organic materials that are used for medicinal purposes and ultimately helps in healing multiple conditions.”

Each garment of the collection highlights the different aspects of nature and the harm we are causing. The designer conveyed their idea using a colour shade of yellow and gold. Along with the fabric experimentation, the designers also attempted playing with acrylic structures that showcase the correlation between human and its surroundings. The garments represented the storyline of how humans have evolved and destroyed their surroundings while the environment is taking everything and returning with goodness.

For their exceptional concept and creative designs, the designer trio were conferred upon with the Outstanding Designer Awards from JD Design Awards 2022.
