‘Design is thinking made visual.’

The quote above explains the event that was held on 13th of April 2015 by Sonia Suri in association with Home Stop and JD Institute Of Fashion Technology. Sonia Suri is a  renowned, successful, talented Interior Designer based out of Delhi, currently residing in Bangalore and been in the industry for 15 years now working for bigwigs like ITC. She also happens to have her own venture dealing in residential interiors. Home Stop has been very encouraging as they gave us prior permission to use their space and their products.

‘‘The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.’’

The quote above tells us about the kind of dedication and commitment that goes into creating something beautiful and that’s what the Interior students of the Lavelle Road campus of JD Institute of Fashion Technology did on 31st of March, 2015. They put up an artistically creative art exhibit where the theme was ‘Abstractism’. Titled, “Abstraction and conceptualization of images”- an exhibition organized by the interior design students saw some powerful forms of abstract art. Most often abstract art is misunderstood but that ironically, is the beauty of it. Exhibits of abstract art are definitely spurting and the artists are seen painting their interpretations of what they see.
